Learn about Jewelry Appraisals

All jewelry is appraised on site by W. Hays Pickens III, Graduate Gemologist (Gemological Institute of America). Jewelry can be appraised for insurance replacement value, estate evaluation, and fair market value. We can consult with you to determine the best method of valuation. Upon completion, you will receive a physical report with thorough documentation.

Appraisal items must be left with us to be properly valuated. We understand that your pieces of jewelry, whether family heirlooms or new pieces, are cherished items. While your items are with us at Pickens, they are completely safe and protected under our insurance policy. 

We do not offer same day appraisals. We operate on a first-come, first-serve basis, with an approximate turnaround time of 1-2 weeks.

Additional Items at the same time, $100 each

Appraisal Update (for pieces previously appraised here), $50
